In 1955 many reused blocks of the thalamos were found in the Byzantine structures situated in front of the temple. A thalamos was a sacred niche where the statues of the gods were placed. The following year, in 1956, the infrastructure was reconstructed in its original location inside the cella. The internal organization of the temple was particular and typical of roman religious architecture in Syria since the naos was divided into three thalamoi.
